Do you want to wander through the Lan Su Chinese Garden and help to maintain this beautiful oasis?

Facilities Support volunteers, or as we like to call them, "Nook & Cranny" volunteers, have the opportunity to wander through the garden while helping to maintain the garden through activities such as dusting and sweeping, and cleaning in all the "nooks & crannies". Facilities Support is great for individuals who want to tune out and do some cathartic cleaning in a beautiful place.

8-10am shifts available weekly, a regular schedule is preferred. To apply, complete this application form and reach out to volunteers@lansugarden.org to let us know you are intrested in becoming a Nook & Cranny volunteer: https://www.volgistics.com/appform/877194767

239 NW Everett Street, Portland, OR 97209, US

Mission Statement

The mission of Lan Su Chinese Garden is to cultivate an oasis of tranquil beauty and harmony to inspire, engage, and educate our global community in the appreciation of a richly authentic Chinese culture.

Description

Lan Su Chinese Garden is one of Portland's treasures - a powerfully inspiring experience that takes you through time, offering a window into Chinese culture, history, and way of thinking. Opened in 2000, Lan Su is an authentic Suzhou-style classical Chinese garden with over 300 species of Chinese cultivar plants. Architecture, stone, water, and poetry complete the garden. Built with materials directly from China by Chinese garden designers and artisans, it is an oasis of nature and tranquility in the midst of the city. Lan Su is open 7 days a week for visitors to enjoy. Join our volunteer team committed to creating memorable experiences for our visitors.
