Do you know the ins and outs of helping animal welfare organizations raise public awareness? Want to make a splash in the pet world by cheerleading for the Tripawds Community? Do you have established media contacts? If creating buzz in the press rocks your world, let’s talk! The 501c3 Tripawds Foundation needs a skilled publicist to gain media exposure for various ongoing and upcoming campaigns. This person will help us make connections with notable media outlets, and land publication of articles about our organization and programs. We also need to build more connections in the animal welfare world and among the veterinary community.
Project Overview:
- Write press releases and media kit materials
- Pitch our stories to media
- Follow up to get coverage in various media outlets
- Craft stories and pitches for:
- Tripawds Rescue Fund (Matching Grants for Surgery in Animal Rescues)
- New "Triday" International Tripawd Awareness Day Campaign*
- Media Appearances (podcast, radio, tv) for Tripawds Founders
- Create and execute a Tripawds Foundation publicity plan

Our first official International Tripawd Awareness Day (aka: Triday, 3/3) is planned for March 3, 2021. A website and initial press release has been developed. We need help spreading the word among media, notable calendar websites, and the veterinary community.

Mission Statement
Helping amputee pets and their people everywhere! The Tripawds Foundation serves to maintain an educational forum, and offers free pet amputation recovery and care resources, and provides assistance programs that assist three-legged dogs and cats and the people who love them in as many ways as possible.
Description
In early 2014, the creators of the Tripawds pet amputation support community incorporated the Tripawds Foundation - a 501c3 Texas nonprofit public charity to assist pet parents coping with amputation for their beloved cats and dogs. The primary goal of the Tripawds Foundation is to maintain the infrastructure required to host and manage the ever growing public-benefit Tripawds Community - the leading online resource center for guardians of amputee pets to find guidance, veterinary information, and support, at no cost. As an online support community, Tripawds specifically provides free resources to individuals whose dogs or cats are facing amputation and/or cancer.
With your support, the Tripawds Foundation hosts a growing number of direct assistance programs including veterinary financial aid for amputation surgery, free rehabilitation therapy for three legged pets, free pet mobility gear for families in need, matching grants for rescue organizations, a toll-free helpline, and more.
