The Moreno Valley Public Library is actively seeking technologically savvy volunteers for our new Drop-in Tech Support volunteer program to provide an invaluable service to the technologically challenged population of Moreno Valley.
The Drop-in Tech Support volunteer assists patrons who may have basic computer issues that range from setting up Facebook and email accounts, sending emails and modifying word documents, to even turning on and utilizing your basic internet enabled devices, and so much more! As a volunteer tech support volunteer, you’ll use your mastery of modern technology to help patrons develop confidence in utilizing their personal devices and the library’s services.
Selected volunteer tech support volunteers will be scheduled to come in at least twice a week for a total of four hours a week in the Computer Lab at Moreno Valley Public Library. There is no educational requirement to be a volunteer for the Drop-in Tech Support volunteer Program. However, a basic understanding of computers, laptops, tablets, Windows and Apple OS, as well as experience with the general public is recommended.
All volunteers over the age of 18 must pass a background check with the City of Moreno Valley.
