We accept individual stewardship volunteers as well as groups and clubs for team service days.
Individuals can work on their own time while groups will be scheduled with staff support.
All of our volunteer stewards work to enhance and maintain our parks and trails.
We have over 80 parks and oversee more than 800 acres in Chattanooga.
During a Group Project Day your team will be tasked with a stewardship project in the city parks and greenways of Chattanooga. The project can last from two to four hours and can encompass any of these assignments:
⦁ Picking up litter, limbs, and debris.
⦁ Light landscaping, such as pulling weeds and adding mulch.
⦁ Removing exotic invasive plants.
⦁ Planting native plants and trees.
⦁ Cleaning and painting benches, picnic tables, and signs.
⦁ Removing vegetation on walking paths.
We will coordinate a date, location, task and provide the tools. Individual groups can create a big impact while fostering community and teambuilding - it's a win-win!
