Immanuel Community Services is in need of volunteers for our weekly Saturday & Sunday Grocery Rescue teams.

For Grocery Rescue, we assemble a volunteer team to help ICS pick up, sort and store food donations from area grocery stores in preparation for our weekly Monday Food Bank. Volunteering for Grocery Rescue does not require a car, as we operate our own van. We do need volunteers to drive the van and pick up the grocery donations. Volunteers may also assist with packing food boxes for our Home Delivery program that ICS started in response to COVID-19. The shift is from 9 am-1 pm every Saturday, and from 10am-1pm every Sunday.

If you sign up for this opportunity, we will contact you with more specific details.

You should also reach out to info@icsseattle.org along with Alyssa (volunteers@icsseattle.org). Thanks!

About IMMANUEL COMMUNITY SERVICES

Location:

1215 THOMAS ST, SEATTLE, WA 98109, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to alleviate the effects of poverty, hunger, homelessness, and addiction by providing community-based social services to those in need.

Description

Immanuel Community Services provides FOOD to those who are hungry, HYGIENE to those who are homeless, RECOVERY and SHELTER to those who are addicted. We do this through four programs: A weekly Food Bank, a daily Hygiene Center, a Recovery Program Shelter and a monthly Community Lunch. With all our programs, we strive to build relationships and be a place where people can become connected and involved. We work together, side-by-side, to maintain dignity, rekindle hope and create a community of belonging.
