The Red Kettle Campaign is a long-standing holiday tradition that annually benefits local families and individuals in need. Those families need you to help ring a bell at our Kettle locations in November and December this year. Volunteers choose their own locations, timeslots and then ring the iconic Salvation Army Bell! The kettles are typically stationed outside local stores throughout Genesee County. We will work with you to find a location near you on a date and time that works for you! You can sign-up and see available locations and shifts here: https://www.registertoring.com
Volunteers of all ages are welcome; those age 14 or under must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older at all times. This opportunity is great for groups, families, organizations, young children, older adults, just about everyone!

Description
While many of our volunteer opportunities take place during the Christmas Season (Be a Bell Ringer), many volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year. Our Emergency Disaster Services Team assist our first responders as needed. Volunteers can also help The Salvation Army by helping with our food giveaway every Tuesday, helping with our Thanksgiving Eve Dinner, assisting with our Christmas sign-up, organizing a drive for diapers, coats, toys, personal hygiene products, pajamas, and cleaning supplies for distribution through our Christmastown and Social Services Department, simply helping in the office. We also have our annual Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament to help raise funds for afterschool and meal programs at our L.I.F.E. Center. Helping to change a life is just a call away. 810-869-8711.
