Volunteer drivers deliver hot meals to people’s homes in Southeast TN. Volunteers are a vital lifeline!

Home Delivered Meals Volunteer Description:

  • Shifts available Monday through Friday, (Especially Fridays)
  • 9:15 am to 12 noon at the latest
  • Driving and delivering home delivered meals
  • Friendly and helpful

Make a difference, one ride at a time! MyRide TN Southeast is accepting applications for Volunteers to assist older adults with essential trips to the grocery store, pharmacy, bank, and doctors’ appointments.

MyRide TN Southeast Volunteer Description:

  • 21 Years or older with a valid driver’s license/insurance
  • Flexible Shifts based on your schedule
  • Desire to help seniors; service oriented
  • Minimum of 3 hours commitment per month

Mission Statement

The mission of the Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability (SETAAAD) is to help older adults live with dignity and choices in their homes and communities. SETAAAD provides programs and services to adults with disabilities and seniors and their families living in Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea and Sequatchie counties.

Description

The goal of SETAAAD is to advocate for and to strive to achieve a system of services that allows older persons and persons with disabilities the opportunity for an independent and productive lifespan. This is accomplished through three primary areas of emphasis: Advocacy, Service, and Planning. SETAAAD has a variety of volunteer supported programs including:

Home Delivered Meals Services provides hot meals to people’s homes. Our volunteers deliver more than just a meal, it is a vital lifeline for our Seniors.

MyRide TN Southeast provides volunteer assisted transportation to essential appointments for adults 60 and older who can walk independently or with a walker or cane.

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides information, assistance, and counseling about Medicare insurance.

These programs are volunteer supported and provides vital services to enhance the quality of life of adults 60 and older and adults with disabilities in our communities.
