Due to predictions for an active hurricane and wildfire season and the complexities of COVID-19, the Red Cross will need hundreds of volunteers to care for people when disasters strike.
Please consider joining us as a temporary volunteer and get fully trained before disasters strike.
What will you be doing?
In-person shelter support to assist with reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information collection, and other vital tasks to help those we serve who have been affected by a large disaster.
The minimum time commitment for a disaster deployment is 14 days, volunteering 8-12 hour shifts.
All training is included plus all expenses paid, including travel, shelter and food.
