Making healthy choices are not always easy to do such as, getting enough exercise, or selecting healthier food choices, or even finding the best health-care provider; however, where you live plays a significant role on how healthy you can be. Every time you step out your front door the community where you live has a vital impact on your health. RCBI and its partners want to take this opportunity to show our community residents in Monroe County New York that health starts where we are at and what we have.
So please come join us and learn more about how you can improve on making healthier choices and having a positive impact on your community.
Targeted Audience: Healthcare Professionals, Social Workers, Mental Health Specialist, Nutritionist, Educators, Health/Life/Homeowner insurance Specialist, Dentistry, Life Coach experts, etc.
Goals:
- Improve quality of life
- Reverse the trend in adult and childhood obesity
- Reduce risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes
- Build stronger community relationships with residents and make the community more enjoyable for everyone
Objectives
- Participants will learn how quality of life is impacted by physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of life
- Participants will learn the benefits of healthy lifestyle by being more physically active for at least 30 minutes five days per week adults and youth
- Make healthier food choices to prevent and or manage the risk of chronic diseases, participants will learn what healthy numbers are in relationship to chronic diseases
- Participant will complete evaluations and host will review the evaluations and continue to work with the community to make the necessary changes to ensure a healthy community

Description
Rochester Community Betterment created by Laura and Woody Roberts after the death of their son from lack of quality health and community resources. The agency provides educational/ self- sufficiency classes, resource referrals, after school program and tutoring services for youth grades K -12

- orientation & training is required before the scheduled event. Hours needed for the fair are between 6am and 3pm. Seeking participation with a cheerful attitude to serve others
