Butterfly Hospice Care is currently seeking Patient Care and Administrative Support Volunteers through our Fullerton Office, serving Orange and Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. Opportunities include:

  1. Assisting with office administrative tasks
  2. Bereavement support for those grieving the loss of a loved one
  3. Organizing patient care packages
  4. Contacting patient family members to assess their needs.
  5. Spiritual support for patients (under Chaplain's Supervision)

Qualifications:

  • Must have a cleared background check/health screen
  • Successful completion of hospice volunteer training and orientation program.
  • Ability to work within the interdisciplinary group
  • Supportive of the hospice concept and willing to serve others in a volunteer capacity
  • Availability to volunteer 5-10 hours per week at our Fullerton Office during normal office hours, 9:00am-5:00pm

Description

At Butterfly Hospice Care, Hospice volunteers are essential to our hospice team, as Volunteers range from direct contact with patients to clerical work for our organization. Some opportunities available for hospice volunteers include:

  • Companionship support to patients and their loved ones
  • Non-medical services, such as, letter writing, errands, or respite time for family
  • Bereavement support
  • Administrative Work
  • Special Skills and Interests (Pet therapy/Music therapy)
