Food distribution is a hands-on volunteer activity. Activities could include assisting with set up (tables, tents, umbrellas), unloading and moving food from pallets to the table and/or cars; sorting and distributing food; and clean up. This is a great chance for volunteers to interface with our local community.

This volunteer activity may include some heavy lifting (a minimum of 25lbs.) and regular movement. Bring your water bottle, jacket and hat depending on the weather because you may get a good workout outdoors!

The volunteer must be willing and able to work with people of different backgrounds and ethnicities, exhibit compassion and sensitivity, maintain strict confidentiality of all member and volunteer information. We are a great place for students or anyone needing to get community service hours!

When you arrive please meet in the staff parking lot along the fence closest to Thornton Ave and look for food pallets.
