Mi CASA is currently looking for fun & dedicated volunteers to mentor the youth through academic assistance, arts & crafts, sports, and other developmental activities and build authentic relationships & community!
Mi CASA in Little Tokyo is a free after-school program for youth ages 6 to 18 years old, supporting the physical, emotional, and social health of youth in Little Tokyo and neighboring communities through our four program areas: Community, Academics, Sports, and Art (CASA).
The program will run, in-person, Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm, beginning September 3, 2024 through May 30, 2025 for the 2024-2025 school year. Volunteers will support youth with homework / tutoring, engage in activities (including sports, games, arts & crafts, and other workshops), as well as learn and build relationships with the community of Little Tokyo & its deep culture / history. Volunteers are required to commit to at least one day per week for an entire semester, otherwise volunteer hours can be flexible for scheduling, Monday-Friday from 2-6 pm. All volunteers will also need to complete an onboarding orientation and a Live Scan background check (for those 18 years old and up).
