Take a moment to think about your favorite teacher growing up and all the ways that they supported who you became as a person. Now it's your turn to support teachers in all that they do!

Teachers and their classrooms need us more than ever! Teachers' Treasures is a free store for Marion County teachers. Teachers shop within our two locations for thousands of dollars of supplies, entirely free for them to take back to their students and classrooms.

You can be a part of this impactful and meaningful mission by helping us run this free store. Volunteers will check teachers in and out on the computer, restock shelves, and do some light cleaning.

Shopping occurs at our main store (1800 E. 10th St.) Monday-Wednesday and at our satellite location within Northwest Middle School on Tuesday and Thursday. Occasionally we will have Saturday shopping offered at our main store.

About Teachers' Treasures

Location:

1800 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46201, US

Mission Statement

Teachers’ Treasures works to ensure teachers, educators, and students have access to free, vital resources for classroom success.

Description

Every day at public, charter, private, and parochial schools located throughout Marion County, children of all ages attend class without the most basic supplies they need to get a good education. Dedicated teachers are often willing to pay for these much needed supplies out of their own pockets to make sure the kids in their classrooms have the necessary tools to learn.

Teachers' Treasures, in partnership with local businesses, charitable foundations, neighborhood organizations and individual contributors, helps fill this need by operating a volunteer based "Free Store for Teachers." Donated educational supplies and other materials are distributed via this unique conduit to teachers for the benefit of their students.

Teachers' Treasures offers a variety of individual or group volunteer activities that can be tailored to your group or organization. Please contact Sarah Gregory at sgregory@teacherstreasures.org or call 317-264-1758 for more information.

Teachers who volunteer 2 or more hours can earn extra shopping passes. Teachers who are normally ineligible to shop can also volunteer to earn opportunities to shop.
