PR and Social Media Intern

Position Overview:
As a PR and Social Media Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our organization's public relations and social media strategies. You will work closely with the PR and Marketing team to enhance our online presence, engage with our audience, and effectively communicate our mission and initiatives. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in PR, social media management, and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in developing and implementing social media campaigns to promote our organization's mission, events, and programs across various platforms.
2. Create engaging content for social media posts, including graphics, videos, and written copy, that aligns with our brand voice and messaging.
3. Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to our organization, and actively engage with followers and stakeholders.
4. Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns, press releases, and media outreach efforts to generate positive coverage and awareness.
5. Conduct research to identify potential media outlets, influencers, and partnership opportunities for collaboration.
6. Assist in maintaining media lists, press kits, and other PR materials, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
7. Help track and analyze social media metrics and PR coverage to evaluate campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
8. Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings, organizing documents, and managing email correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and social media management tools.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of PR principles and media relations preferred.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Passion for social impact and interest in nonprofit or cause-driven work.

- Hours: 15-20 hours per week

Crowned for Purpose Corporation addresses education, prevention, coordinates and provides aid and relief to youth and women survivors of sexual abuse/assault, bullying and low self esteem in the Metro Atlanta area, Southeast MS and their surrounding counties. Crowned for Purpose Corporation accomplishes this through two core programs I AM ROYALTY and Krown Her.

Crowned for Purpose will launch its I am King boys mentorship program January 2022. This program was created to provide mentorship, address education, bullying prevention, and provide aid and relief to youth to at risk male youth in the Metro Atlanta area.
