If you like gorillas or Africa or just like to rescue orphaned animals, we should talk.
Ape Action Africa is a 27-year-old local project in Cameroon with a global audience and a growing US/international support base.
This is an opportunity to increase engagement with our audiences with the ultimate goal of finding and caring for like-minded donors, featuring some of the most charismatic - and endangered - animals on the planet!
Our content braid includes primate news, issues they face and reposts from the UK team. We need 1-2 social posts a week; more around a few big events and/or campaigns during the year.
You won't have to generate it all, though: we get great content from the team in Cameroon that often needs only modifications for the US/international audience: links and language.

Finally, we are based in Northern California. And this oppotunity is almost entirely virtual; but we would love for you to be able to participate in our in-person events once we get back to having them.

Ape Action Africa is a conservation sanctuary in Cameroon, in western central Africa, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and conservation of endangered primates in their native rainforest.
Description
The largest gorilla sanctuary on the continent, we rescue endangered primates - gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys - give them physical and psychological rehabilitation, and restore family life in protected tropical rainforest. We also work with the people: from local families to the national government; to promote the protections and practices that will allow their kind to again thrive in the wild.
