Activity Summary:
Provide practical support to individuals and families who have nowhere else to go!
Assembling Hygiene Kits is an easy way to bring a glimmer of hope and joy to clients of The Salvation Army, letting them know they are cared about. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Contact the sites listed on the link above to coordinate drop off
- Log hours completed for this activity on myimpactpage.com
This activity is flexible to allow you to create as many kits as you would like. If you would like to organize a larger volunteer event to assemble hygiene kits, or if you would like to support a Salvation Army location in greater Chicagoland, Northern Illinois, or Northwest Indiana that isn’t listed, please email usc.nci.volunteer.shared@usc.salvationarmy.org today!
Qualifications:
- Desire to provide practical support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness
- Access to a minimum of 5 of the items most needed
- Ability to coordinate kit drop-off to one of our locations

The Salvation Army is making an impact every day in three key areas of critical importance and concern to people across Chicagoland -- Homelessness, Violence and Education. And, The Salvation Army is delivering the most critical services -- food, shelter, emergency assistance and disaster relief.
In communities throughout Chicago and the surrounding five-county area, we extend emergency and supportive assistance from 28 corps community centers, 80 service extension units, the Emergency Disaster Services Center, residential programs, mobile units, and several counseling sites.
