The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is recruiting volunteers to help sort, weigh and re-stack perishable food that is donated to the food bank from various retail donors to be distributed to local food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters. Volunteers may also be used to help sort frozen items into bins containing like items.
- Volunteers will be required to work in a refrigerated environment - We recommend bringing your own jacket and gloves.
- Volunteers may be required to be able to lift cases up to 40 lbs.
Refrigerated Donation Intake Shifts have the following schedule:
Monday - Friday: 9am-12pm and 1-4pm
For all of our shifts, please come prepared to assist with any duty! Thank you for your flexibility!

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio, having made possible over 55 million meals in 2017 to hungry people in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties. The Food Bank’s mission is to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. We do this through both food distribution and SNAP outreach efforts.
