At Gentiva Hospice, our mission is to honor the life of individuals and their families facing a life-limiting illness.
Do you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference? Then you have come to the right place. Gentiva offers volunteer/ student with the opportunities to gain experience, insight in the health field & preparing students the importance it is to interact with real patients.
Volunteer you time & your talent.
Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team; they help improve the quality of life for our patients, families and their caregivers by enriching their life with companionship, socialization & mental simulation. Activities that are helpful but are not limited are reading and writing letters, playing card games, playing/ listening to music, knitting/ crocheting or any way you can interact with your companion, but most importantly that you provide support during their most important time of their lives.
Volunteers are the heart of the team. Your ability to care & help others at the end of their lives is tremendously profound and rewarding AND we could not do this without you.
