Belvedere - Tiburon Landmarks Society is seeking new volunteer docents at its four historic sites to welcome visitors and locals, work with school groups, and help host special events. Desired skills are a love of history, aptitude for public speaking, and the ability to engage people of all ages - teaching experience a plus. Training is provided. Mission Statement

The mission of the Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society is to acquire, preserve and maintain artifacts, landmarks, and open space of local historic significance and make them available to the public.

Description

The Landmarks Society historical activities include maintaining Old St. Hilary's, the Railroad & Ferry Depot museum, the China Cabin, and the Landmarks' Art & Garden Center. With our volunteer docents, we lead botanical and historical house and museum tours, as well as concerts, lectures, and exhibits. Voluneer docents for the Landmarks Society love history and enjoy meeting people from around the world as they lead tours.
