Who are we?

Orange Note, Inc. is a federally recognized nonprofit organization that is registered in California. We think quality education is the key and believe all students deserve to access quality education regardless of their situation. Our programs are project-based, hands-on learning, small group/interactive settings.


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a coding instructor who can teach young students basic front-end coding. The class is small and interactive. We like to call the course for the young IT project manager- planning, doing, launching the website, reviewing to share a lesson learned is the structure that children will be learning from the class without even noticing


Why you want to work with us:

Make a difference in young students with limited resources by teaching them most demanding technical skill- coding. This will be a great chance for those who are interested in careers in IT Project Managers or Front End Developers.


Top 3 Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and Review teaching materials: simple and organized
  • Teach and Guide Children to code in an interactive way
  • Answer questions from students for the assignments (TA can support)

General Responsibilities:
  • Teach a small group of children from web fundamentals to complete the portfolio website on Github: prior teaching experience is desired
  • Explain with simple and fun examples (we love cookie monsters, lemonade war)
  • Work with the program manager to develop curriculum and teaching materials before the class
  • Set up Atom and create a directory to save HTML, CSS, Image files that connect and work for the website
  • Teach with compassion and patience towards young students (ages 10+)

Required :
  • Solid HTML, CSS, Javascript coding knowledge
  • Experience to create the website from scratch on Github
  • Teaching experience with young children or desire to have one
  • Being comfortable in video recording (DPM will edit ): all classes are Zoom and will be recorded to be uploaded to the website as a part of knowledge sharing.
  • Communication: Simple & Clear
  • Responsibility and humility to work as a team and be an inspiration for children
  • Quiet environment for the online class/recording and have an external microphone for the clear communication and class recording

  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Writing instructions and teaching materials, syllabus, guidelines
  • Able to motivate and make the technical stuff sound interesting that children may get engaged
