Volunteer in the fresh air! Trail maintenance teams meet at recurring 2-hour weekly workdays to restore habitat, remove invasive species, plant native species, and keep the trail looking great for the Platteville Community Arboretum. Current teams meet Mondays 8-10 am, Tuesdays 8:30-10:30 am, Wednesdays 9-11 am or Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 pm and occasional Saturday mornings. Most crews work April-October. Monday and Saturday crews continue into fall and early winter.

Our mission is to connect the Platteville community to the Rountree Branch corridor, through recreation, conservation and environmental education.
Description
Established in 2004, the Platteville Community Arboretum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with over 150 members. The PCA is truly a community effort, as all activities, projects and maintenance are fully supported by community volunteers, donations and memberships. The Platteville Community Arboretum maintains and manages over four miles of the Platteville area trail network and adjacent arboretum. Our work is focused on habitat restoration, environmental education and creating educational and recreational opportunities along the Rountree Branch Trail.

- This is like yard work with a team. It is often physically demanding. Should have the ability to navigate uneven terrain, use hand tools safely, bend over and lift things. Plus, there can be exposure to biting/stinging insects and plants.
