Do you like using tools? Join us to help limited-income families save money on their rising energy bills while learning how to make their homes more energy-efficient AND reduce our overall carbon footprint to address climate change! Energy Savers Network needs "handy" volunteers who prefer using simple carpentry tools to weatherize low-income homes in Buncombe County, NC.
Our Volunteer workdays consist of going out to small and mobile homes to implement small energy-efficiency upgrades like replacing light bulbs, adding water aerators to sinks, sealing windows and doors (with caulk and door weather stripping), adding window inserts, and much more. Our workdays consist of 2-3 volunteers and 1 Team Lead working on any day(s) of your choice - Tuesday-Friday 11am - 3pm. We especially welcome carpenters from construction companies!!
To learn more, signup for this opportunity and we will get in touch with you to schedule a day of your choice on our website calendar (includes a map option to show locations near you)! OR go directly to our Volunteer page on our website https://www.energysaversnetwork.org/volunteer/ Come learn new skills and enjoy meeting new people in the process!
