About VETERAN RETREATS FOUNDATION

Location:

7413 SIX FORKS RD, RALEIGH, NC 27615, US

Mission Statement

We aim to help lower the suicide rate and heal the invisible wounds of war, facilitating solders to return to their original true self through Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM approach). The primary purpose of the charity is to use community support through fundraising, corporate sponsorship, grants and other forms of public support to cover the cost of the program for Veterans that no longer have benefits, do not qualify, have used the maximum allowance or who wish to refrain from conventional diagnostic testing. We offer holistic retreat programs to active duty, veterans, reservists, first. responders & their dependents.

Description

We currently operate a veteran volunteer farm school retreat in Zionsville, PA. We have hosted day retreats and summits in Toronto, Atlanta, Colorado, Oregon and Guatemala successfully supporting mental health through fellowship and nature. We are working toward a residential retreat property to facilitate overnight, weekly programs. We are the recipient of Brilliant Minded Women's Charity of the Year Award.
