TIDE Academy is looking for career mentors. The mentor program will pair students with professionals to discuss both academic and career goals. The student's career interests are focused on computer science including an introduction to Python and Python object-oriented programming (OOP). In addition to career exploration, our deliverables are focused on improving students' business communication skills through an elevator pitch, SMART goals, resume and mock interviews.
As a mentor, you will share information about your career and the path you took to get where you are today. Discussing your education, previous jobs and promotions, and what your role looks like on a day-to-day basis is the cornerstone of our program.
Most mentors report spending approximately 70 minutes per month with interactions done in a flexible hybrid approach either through monthly mentor/mentee meetings or online communications from October 2024-May 2025.
Mentors share that this is an easy time commitment, but we appreciate the big impact it has on students! Contact us if you would like to inspire a student, strengthen your community, and promote a career that you are passionate about.
To signup or learn more: Send an email to sghosh@seq.org. The signup deadline is September 30.
