Travellers Rest Farm Sanctuary is in desperate need of donations to help care for our 50-plus residents. Donations have all but stopped, and we need someone with fundraising experience to help step up our efforts. Our cost to feed our residents just grain is $2800/month. That does not include hay or any of their other maintenance costs. We are looking for a horse lover that care share and help execute in person and virtual fundraising campaigns.

Our mission is to provide permanent sanctuary for senior, blind, physically or psychologically abused or challenged, neglected, abandoned, etc. horses and other farm animals, and to offer related education to individuals/groups.
Description
Travellers Rest Farm Sanctuary is a Maryland based nonprofit that strives to help as many horses as possible. We offer permanent sanctuary to senior, blind, disabled and slaughter bound horses. We have no paid volunteers and operate solely on donations. We house 30 horses and ponies at any given time and provide end of life services to those that reside there. Once they arrive they stay. Last year we were able to help 35 horses from the slaughter pipeline. We have operational costs to maintain our herd in excess of $2000/month just for grain and hay, but donations have all but stopped. We desperately need help raising funds to care for our residents.
