We are looking for 1 or 2 consistent volunteers to help manage the turnover of food through the warehouse and pantry. We are in need of someone who can help out during a consistent shift each week, learning the system and becoming part of the team at UCOM. This may include unloading trucks, moving & tracking inventory, bringing items from the warehouse into the pantry, organizing inventory in walk in cooler/freezers, etc.

Current needs are for Monday mornings, Wednesday morning or afternoon, and Friday mornings.

Description

UCOM is the ACCESS key resource center for Southwest Kent County serving Grandville, most of Wyoming, and a portion of southwest Grand Rapids. UCOM operates a health focused client choice food pantry, a farm stand with local produce, and a variety of other programs and classes that seek to support and build up our neighbors and connect them to local resources.
