We are developing a Garden Education Program at Barn Sanctuary! We are looking for a group of volunteers who have a passion for gardening and environmental sustainability to help with various garden-related projects. The first few projects may include: building garden beds, removing sod/leveling ground for bed placement, placing beds, installing fencing, assembling a "bike blender". After that, we will have regular "garden days" to help planting, weeding and harvesting. We will also have youth education days and would love green-thumbed assistants to facilitate the educational programming. Although there will be a lot of work involved, you will also get to meet and treat some of our animal residents, and learn about our mission as a whole. Please contact me to get further details, dates and more.

Mission Statement
Barn Sanctuary rescues abused and neglected farmed animals and inspires people to embrace a plant-based lifestyle.
Description
Barn Sanctuary has been rescuing farmed animals since 2016 and have over 120 animal residents living out their natural lives at our 70 acre sanctuary. At Barn Sanctuary, we provide our residents with the life we believe all farmed animals deserve. From top-notch medical care to plenty of pasture space, the best interests of our residents are prioritized with the highest level of individualized care and enrichment.
Our volunteers are committed to giving our rescued residents the best life imaginable through assisting our Animal Care team in daily sanctuary chores that directly involve caring for the animals at Barn Sanctuary. In addition to our volunteer program, Barn Sanctuary's tour program draws hundreds of guests to the property to meet the animals and hear their stories. Our goal is to provide people with an opportunity to see farmed animals in a new light as we educate them about human relationships with farmed animals and the negative impact these current relationships have on the animals, our health, and the health of our planet. It is our hope that, through education, we can give people the information that will empower them to make more informed decisions about their own lifestyle.
