Due to COVID-19, there is an unusually large number of kittens and cats who need Fosters. Way too many kittens are being born to stray cats and/or are kittens unwanted by humans who did not spay or neuter their cats. These kittens are often neonates and need round-the-clock bottle feeders. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved with cat rescue on the "boots in the field" level. You would foster the kittens at your home after training and while being mentored by our staff bottle foster coordinator.
Orphaned kittens require the same care that kittens with mothers require but in this case the foster parent must take on the duties of the mother cat. Kittens, before they are eating on their own (before 3-4 weeks old), and without a mother present will need round the clock care.
Should be in the north coastal San Diego area of Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Escondido or general vicinity, and have transportation for veterinarian appointments in San Marcos area.
And remember if you can’t help now, we can train you anytime during the spring/summer.

Mission Statement
Our mission is three-fold: •For the animal we rescue...we strive to , take out of harm's way if we can, improve quality of life, and alleviate possible suffering; •For the human (adopter or person being assisted)... we strive to educate or inform potential owners of the harm that loose animals face, the proper care of pets and the importance of ownership. And most importantly, the love and nurturing that can be shared between pet and owner. •For the community as a whole , and thus for the world...we educate and promote the human-animal bond that can only enrich this world. In the local communities, we also help to decrease shelter euthanasia, which lowers shelter spending in that area, leaving more money available for other important programs and services, which benefits both animals and the community as a whole.
