What are the aims and impact of this project?Child development volunteer program aims to promote early childhood development and support teachers and caregivers at our partner care centres. We are working to improve children’s education and quality of life. We also focus on sharing knowledge about good nutrition with caregivers and parents. Malnutrition is a huge problem in Nepal.
Additionally, child development volunteers can be involved in the following tasks:
- Improve hygiene levels of the children
- Raise awareness of healthy living, the environment and family planning
- Promote early childhood development
- Increase literacy
- Improve the level of stimulation of each child
Volunteers will focus on teaching English and encouraging students to practice speaking with you. It will boost their confidence and you can help them with their pronunciation and grammar. Speaking English is a necessary skill in Nepal and can open the door to better employment opportunities in the future.
Childhood is the most significant period of learning for every human being, establishing the cognitive, emotional and social foundation upon which each child builds his or her future.
