Heart to Heart is proud to be a member of the We Honor Veterans program that recognizes the uniqueness and value of our nation's veterans with life-limiting illness. Although anyone can volunteer with Heart to Heart Hospice, this post is specifically looking for veteran volunteers who are able to connect with our veteran patients, helping them live a dignified and peaceful end of life. As a Vet-to-Vet volunteer, you would be providing the unique and compassionate support that only another veteran would be able to give. This can be done by providing the patient with camaraderie, attending pinning ceremonies, or by participating in our Honor Escort that is offered to each Veteran patient upon admission. Full hospice service training and support is provided to volunteers and is also free of any cost. If interested, I'd be happy to share the flexible and unique Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer opportunity.
