We have launched our newest initiative- Care Pack grocery deliveries! Our next Care Pack day is July 8th
For the past few months we have been packaging essential kitchen items (such as dairy products, grains, bread, protein, non-perishables, etc.) and delivering them to families facing food insecurity.
Where do you come in? By getting good food to good people!
We are looking for volunteers to help us assemble grocery boxes and drivers to help us deliver the grocery boxes to our families in need.
Each family receives 1-3 boxes, weighing 35-60lbs per box. We assemble the Care Packs with food. All you have to do is drive to our location, get the family's address, and fulfill the contactless delivery to their home. (Delivery driver is not required - volunteers may just assist with assembly
Care Packs are distributed on the second Tuesday of each month. If you are looking for more opportunities to volunteer, you're welcome to join us earlier in the day and help assemble the boxes.
Reach out to cffvco@gmail.com for more questions.

Mission Statement
Care for Friends provides easy access to community, food and overall wellness for Chicago’s most vulnerable and under-served people, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Through its programs, Care for Friends successfully connects people with community resources to enable them to achieve a better quality of life.
Description
Our flagship program is "Food for Friends" - where we create a safe space for anyone requiring a meal to gather in community for a no-cost hot lunch served in sit-down, family style with dignity and respect.
Other services are available during this gathering time, including haircuts, a health clinic, clothes closet, and toiletries distribution. Additionally, representatives from our various partner organizations begin to make connections with our guests - establishing trusting relationships that will ultimately allow our guests to connect with the services they need to achieve a better quality of life.
