This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

As our Human Capital (HUCA) Project Manager you will be partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition Lead and the Head of HR, and plan and oversee project progress that support and deliver strategies for the Human Capital (HUCA) team.

Please note: This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, plan and execute recruitment and HR specific projects in close collaboration with Recruiting Lead and Head of HR
  • Lead regular planning meetings and provide clear communications/updates and project plans outlining key milestones and deliverables
  • Lead a small group of Project team members
  • Provide project plan updates to Senior Leadership where applicable
  • Poweruser for our Applicant Tracking System (we are using iCIMS) and support and lead any system related training and projects where applicable
Qualifications
  • Confidence to independently create and lead training and workshops
  • Familiarity with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and project management tools
  • Good understanding of Talent Acquisition and HR
  • Work experience from a Talent Acquisition/Recruiting Operations capacity required, proven track record as a Talent Acquisition Project Manager strongly preferred
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects, knowledge of different project management methodologies strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication (oral/written) skills and interpersonal skills
  • Adapt to changing demands and shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Experience with start-up/non-profit environment is a big plus

Mission Statement

JerseySTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math ("STEM") education to girls grade 5-8 from underserved communities in New Jersey. We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities. Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online afterschool projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.

Description

Incorporated in 2013, JerseySTEM started bringing afterschool enrichment programs to middle school girls in 2015.
We have since provided 1,000 students with exposure to afterschool enrichment programs delivering more than 20,000 hours of instruction. Students learn to code, build robots, solve problems and through that process gain self-esteem and confidence that they can be the leaders of tomorrow.
