Make and Drop Off Family Hygiene Kits
ORGANIZATION: African American Firefighter Museum
Please visit the new page to apply.
WHAT: Make and drop off care kits for people experiencing homelessness throughout LA.
ABOUT THE AFRICAN AMERICAN FIREFIGHTER MUSEUM: Since 1997, the African American Firefighter Museum (AAFFM) has been committed to diversity, education and community outreach programs. Over the years we have partnered with several organizations to provide services that heavily impact the homeless, families transiting into housing and the elderly who are experiencing hopelessness. And now, we need your help.
VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES: In compliance with social distancing protocols, you'll make 10+ hygiene kits at home and then drop them off at the African American Firefighter Museum between 10am and 1pm.
IMPACT: The African American Firefighter Museum is activity supporting our homeless community in Los Angeles. There are organized locations throughout Los Angeles where our "Friends and Neighbors" can shower but they do not have access to hygiene products and toiletries unless we supply them. For this reason, a constant and abundant supply is required. With your donation we can contribute to the support of over 53,000 homeless in need hygiene supplies.
