This volunteer opportunity takes place right in your own home! We need foster homes to care for the beloved pets of people in crisis. Our families could be looking for housing, needing medical care, trying to leave unsafe situations, or needing treatment for substance abuse issues. We provide food and vet care; all you need is love to give to a pet. You can decide what kind of animals you would like to foster (dogs and cats are the ones that most commonly need placements), and it is totally okay if you have your own pets already.

Before becoming a foster home, you'll need to fill out an application, undergo a back ground check, interview, and attend an orientation. This is a very low-contact volunteer opportunity, which makes it great for COVID times!

Contact us if you are interested! If you have questions, please email at foster@becksplace.org

PO BOX 562, MONROE, WA 98272, US

Mission Statement

To build a community for people and pets by removing pet-related barriers to stability and providing human and pet services that are given with love, grace, and support.

Description

Beck's Place is a small nonprofit in Monroe, Washington that serves families in crisis, including those underhoused, and their pets. Many people who experience homelessness have companion animals, and this can make it difficult to find transitional housing. Beck's Place serves these people by providing care for their animals while their families find stable housing.
