Bring your specialized, deep experience to help small business entrepreneurs achieve success. Unlike some volunteer opportunities, SCORE is a hands-on volunteer experience. At SCORE we provide o ne-on-one mentoring and educational workshops, on an on-going basis, supporting small business people and entrepreneurs. So if you have the time and are ready for both demanding and rewarding engagement, then SCORE is right for you.

As a Subject Matter Expert Mentors (SME), you would be an adjunct expert called in to provide specialized support and advice to assist a SCORE mentor when their client needs a deeper dive on a specific topic.
Areas where specialized SME services are needed include (but are not limited to): finance, accounting, human resources management, website design, development, and webmaster skills; social media and digital marketing skills; taxation and specialized finance skills; IT infrastructure and cloud computing understanding and advice.

SCORE, America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs and small businesses, is a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). We have over 300 SCORE offices across the country and 10,000 volunteers offering free business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.
For over 50 years, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals have volunteered to support the success of small business nationwide. SCORE business mentoring is free and confidential.
We provide:
