Volunteers at The Food Bank Market can help their neighbors directly by restocking food shelves, sorting donations, welcoming shoppers, checking in and out visitors and cleaning. Through empowerment, education and partnership The Food Bank brings together community resources to feed people in need.

Description

The Food Bank is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of donated food annually.

Our food bank is one of few food banks nationwide that does not charge for the food it provides. Our food goes to soup kitchens, emergency food pantries, shelters for the abused and homeless, programs for low income children and senior citizens, and rehabilitation centers.

  • This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
  • Must be at least 16
