Yadestiny Treasure chest is looking for a qualified Fashion Director to join our Fashion team. This is a volunteer position that will help you step in the right direction to broaden your portfolio in the fashion field. The Fashion Director plays a key role in articulating the organization's voice.
Key responsivities
- Develop well-organized fashion design plans and create fashion concepts
- Manage a team of fashion coordinators to keep creating ideas to implement on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
- Help Yadestiny treasure chest destigmatize clothing donation
- Create ways in which fashion can be re-purposed
- Develop and create workshops to share with the public implementing how to use one piece of clothing into different outfits
- Identify emerging trends and translate them into seasonal looks that are relevant to our targeted audience
- Help create new content to post on social media for our families and followers.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to create effective strategies.
Requirements
- Elevated taste level and keen understanding of Yadestiny treasure chest
- Ability to partner cross-functionally and navigate within a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to inform and influence stakeholders both internally and externally
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Outstanding Planning and project management abilities
- Creative eye for design, copy, and fashion
- Solid understanding of the latest trends.

BACKGROUND
Yadestiny Treasure Chest, Inc. is a 501(c)3 operated not for profit whose mission is to help every child to become confident and educated on how to properly maintain and improve one's health, talents, skills and overall appearance. Through innovative fashion, fitness, nutritional, environmental and community events and activities Yadestiny Treasure Chest will help to develop young leaders of tomorrow.
The organization was founded in 2010 by Karyne Tinord, a Haitian-American native of Brooklyn, New York. Inspired by the global relief efforts following the Haiti earthquake, Tinord established YTC to embark on the journey of providing clothing and key resources to families and children around the world.
JOIN OUR FUTURE
While our main goal is to clothe the children of the world one shirt at a time, YTC also provides lifestyle and arts programs. From the Fit for Fashion program which is geared towards health & wellness education, to the YTC Entertainment program which promotes arts and cultural awareness, YTC works to help build confidence and self -esteem in children everywhere.
As we work to expand our national and global presence, we are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals that share our passion.
