The City Impact Kitchen prepares the main food items that go into the Rescue Mission food bank to-go meals and SF City Academy lunches, Monday - Friday. The kitchen is looking for volunteers who can help prepare food in the mornings and help package meals in the afternoon, from 9:30am - 1:30pm.
During the school year you will assist with serving meals to our students, spending time with our students during their lunch break, and cleaning up for the next grade level's lunch break.

Mission Statement
San Francisco City Impact’s mission is to intervene on behalf of the people of the Tenderloin which we do by serving the immediate needs of the community in these areas: Poverty, Hunger, Inner-City Children, and Community Outreach.
Description
Serving over 100,000 people annually, City Impact has provided relief programs for the Tenderloin District since 1984 - including feeding, health care, and social services. Our founder started serving the Tenderloin in response to seeing a young boy being bullied in this neighborhood. What was initially a Saturday youth program has grown into what is now City Impact. We serve as a lifeline for this community where there are very high rates of homelessness, food insecurity, poverty, addiction, and mental health issues.
We are a Christian organization that works with volunteers of many religious backgrounds and we believe that one person can make all the difference in the life of a person in need.
