Recycling cuts down on the amount of waste that ends up in landfills, and making a can from recycled aluminum saves more than 90% of the energy required to make a new can. Recycle 5 aluminum cans! You’ll earn verified volunteer credits and will be entered for the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship, not to mention inspire others with your efforts.
This campaign is part of DoSomething’s Strength Through Service program, where you can strengthen your community, be considered for a scholarship and earn verified volunteer hours. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of creating a Beloved Community--one that requires acts of service based on justice and equal opportunities. Let's work together to bring Dr. King's vision to life.
