Volunteers will be present along South Platte Park trails to enhance visitors' experiences. Wearing masks and adhering to 6 foot minimum social distancing, volunteers will provide information or insights regarding the Park, wildlife, activities, Park etiquette and more. This does not include law enforcement, but does include positive reinforcement of good behavior.
Appropriate applicants will be able to converse comfortably with strangers, learn and communicate about the topics mentioned above and provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.

Description
The Carson Nature Center provides interpretive programs, nature displays, and guided walks throughout South Platte Park. The Park is a 650-acre open space park along 2.5 miles of the South Platte River--the only unchannelized section of the river in the Denver-metro area. The park has extensive wetland and wildlife habitat, over 200 species of songbirds and waterfowl, 4 miles of hiking trails, a concrete walking/biking path, and 5 fishable lakes. The nature center and the park are both operated by South Suburban Park and Recreation District.
