Community Outreach and Event Volunteer

Hi Hermosa and neighboring community members!

As our organization continues to grow, we are in need of volunteers to help us with events, worskhops and/or general volunteer duties. Someone that is famiiar with the area and bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required. We are also looking for someone that is willing to committ for at least 6 months to 1 year.

Volunteers needed in the following areas:

- General volunteer help: Help with community events, set up and break down, help promote vision of Hermosa Neighborhood Association (HNA), promote after-school activities and youth programs, pass out flyers in the community, help with community park cleanups, etc.

- Education Outreach Coordinator: Relationship development of schools and educational gaps in the Hermosa area, communication with school leadership, supplemental program development and implementation.

-Local Business Outreach: Connect with Hermosa businesses and see how we can work together to enhance and maintain the beauty of the neighborhood, through beutification initiatives, Hermosa banners, sponsorship opportunities, etc.

- Spanish-speaker Community Outreach: Volunteers who speak fluent Spanish to engage with underserved community members and connect them with services and extend their stability in the Hermosa community.
