During the COVID-19 pandemic, the holidays can be especially isolating for older adults who can’t engage in everyday activities that help them stay connected to their friends, family, and the community. Beginning today through December 17, we will collect Holiday Notes of Encouragement to bring cheer to older adults in our community.
Invite a friend, family member or coworker to join you in creating Holiday Notes of Encouragement!
Please use the following guidelines to create your notes:
- Since the notes will go to people who practice many different faiths, keep the wording general and use holiday expressions such as "Season’s Greetings," "Happy Holidays," or "Happy New Year."
- Holiday greeting cards are fine to use but please also include a personal note.
- Mail or deliver completed notes to United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Holiday Notes of Encouragement, 2400 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45202 by 4:30 p.m. December 17 so they can be distributed before the end of the year.
- This is a great activity for the whole family!
