Kitsap Rescue Mission is seeking experienced and passionate board members.
The ideal KRM Board member is a passionate Christian leader who desires to serve those experiencing homelessness in Kitsap County. Board members are community ambassadors for KRM who will make a personal philanthropic commitment and partner with staff to raise funds throughout the community. Board members are influential in the communities they serve.
The role of the board is to partner with and provide guidance to the executive director in developing and monitoring local strategies to deliver services, raise funds in accordance with the organizational goals, operate within the approved budget, and along with the executive serve as a voice in the community.
The board is currently meeting monthly on a Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30pm. Board terms are for 3 years. Regular meeting attendance is expected.

Description
We provide clothing, meals, shelter, and hygiene for homeless and poor men, women, and children on the Kitsap Peninsula. We also provide case management and veteran's advocacy support, helping people get connected to the support and services they need. Currently, our emergency shelter is located at Quality Inn, Bremerton. A move to the Port Orchard area is planned in the near future.
