If you're looking for a virtual way to support Cornerstone Center for Early Learning, consider hosting a Donation Drive! You can host a drive for any number of in-demand items to donate to the center, such as diapers, classroom supplies, toys, household items, and more. We’d be most thankful for your generosity.
This is a completely virtual volunteer opportunity. All Donation Drives take place off-site, and the location, orchestration, and duration of the drives is entirely determined by the drive hosts, on behalf of Cornerstone Center. The delivery of the items will be arranged with Cornerstone Center for Early Learning directly.

Mission Statement
To provide quality, comprehensive, and affordable childcare and preschool education in a nurturing, creative environment for St. Louis-area families of all economic backgrounds.
Description
Since 1969, our organization has prepared students for a lifetime of positive social interaction and learning. A longstanding and respected leader in the early education community, we hold several endorsements, accreditations, and awards for early childhood education and child care. Our teaching methods encourage reflection, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. Through "hands on/minds on" experiences, they build the early foundations of autonomous behavior, taking responsibility for their learning, and accepting the natural consequences of their decisions. In 2019, 88% of Cornerstone students scored "on target" or better on nationally normed screenings that compare outcomes with peers nationwide.
Cornerstone Center serves children of all economic levels and racial backgrounds. In 2019, of 207 students enrolled, 46% lived on annual incomes of less than $20,000, and 49% were members of single-parent households. Approximately 50% of families served were of African-American origin, 31% were Caucasian; 13% were multi-racial, and another 6% came from Hispanic and/or other backgrounds. Cornerstone works to strengthen low-income, high-risk families not only through scholarships, but also through Family Support Initiatives, such as an exemplary meal program and regular provision of diapering supplies.
