The Longest Day(r) is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association(r). Help us tee up an end to Alzheimer's by Golfing to raise awareness and funds for The Longest Day. Below you will find some ideas and information but if you have any questions, simply reply to this post !

FUNDRAISING IDEAS
Fundraising can be easy - here are some ideas to share with participants.
» Organize a tournament or competition with registration fees benefitting The Longest Day.
Examples: a golf putting competition, a three-on-three basketball tournament, a baseball
pitch-a-thon or a round-robin tennis tournament.
» Ask a sports facility to support your team with a donation or use of space.
» Find sponsors for a portion of your event, such as golf holes, the seventh-inning stretch,
goals scored or strikes thrown. Your Alzheimer’s Association chapter can provide sponsorship
guidance.
» Contact businesses for donations of sports equipment, apparel and memorabilia to
auction off.
» Invite a well-known local athlete or coach to host a class or clinic.
» Partner with an existing sports event to offer snacks for a donation and make fundraising
announcements to the crowd.
