Ask the Voters: Walk Precincts To Audit Election Results

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: CIVIC WORKS

voting booths

Are you willing to walk for democracy?

We all want and need to trust the results of our election on Nov 3. One way to trust, is to verify. See http://cooperation.org/askthevoters for more details.

In places that the results appear anomalous, we would like to verify by walking targeted precincts and gathering affidavits from voters, to see how the sworn totals compare with the tabulated results.

Thousands and thousands of people have marched for democracy. This is a little different - instead of a march, its a door to door walk. But the results will be a powerful way to check the electronic voting machines that we are relying on for our election.

The location given is in Miami, but we would like walkers in several locations.

** PLEASE MENTION YOUR LOCATION IN YOUR RESPONSE - CITY, STATE - AND IF YOU ARE WILLING TO TRAVEL **

Note this is a nonpartisan effort. We support gathering of evidence anywhere that it is indicated. The goal is not to have a specific candidate win, but simply to verify that the election machines correctly counted and tabulated the vote.

Mission Statement

We created civ.works as a platform for all of us to work together to overcome the corrupting influence of money in politics. Together we can address bad policy, legislation and to hold all of our elected officials accountable. For democracy to work -our government must represent "We the People". civ.works: Together. We can.

Description

civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.

The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
