Bringing Justice Home, Inc., a small nonprofit based in Louisville, Kentucky, is looking for compassionate and creative individuals who wish to use their skills to help our organization build a strong foundation in governance best practices, and to assist with development and strategic planning to grow our capacity to carry out our mission and achieve our vision of shared resources, shared outcomes, shared dreams in the Louisville community. Applicants should live in or near the Louisville area.

Volunteers would serve on our governance and development committee and/or take on projects such as researching and developing policies, marketing, and strategic plans. Ideally, after serving in this capacity, some volunteers would join our board of directors, beginning service at the beginning of the fiscal year in July 2024. Preference will be given to volunteers in the Louisville, Kentucky area and/or to volunteers who have a connection to our city.

Who We Are Incorporated in July 2020, Bringing Justice Home is an all-volunteer nonprofit founded and led by a caring community, including people who are Black, women, LGBTQ, disabled, and progressive Christians. We are inclusive and interfaith in practice, relationally focused, and committed to centering the lived experience of the poor, the marginalized, the disabled, and those with chronic illnesses. Food justice is social justice.

Bringing Justice Home is building a new kind of neighborhood one relationship at a time, a neighborhood that is not segregated by geography, race, and class, but rather one that is integrated through our vision of shared resources, shared outcomes, shared dreams.
