We are seeking volunteers for our organization!
We urgently need volunteers for our weekly food drives, also for the following:
Nonprofit Operational Support & Development
- Finance Support-Fundraising/Grant Writing/Loan Research
- Legal Support-forms/filing/contracts
- Mentors - Youth & Adult Programs
- Financial Literacy Coaches/Speakers/Trainers- Youth & Adult Programs
- Environmental Research & Planning-Community Beautification Initiative
- Property/Real Estate Support- Help with Property Research & Development, Research permits & insurance
- Outreach/Promotions/Marketing Support-Help Contact press/media for events/programs/create & send press releases, Help Distribute Flyers locally in neighborhood businesses, schools, organizations, parks
- Social Media Support-Update & Share pictures/flyers/events on Social Media, Website, Newsletter, E-Blast
- Partnership Development & Donor Cultivation-Help Cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships, Help identify potential Schools/Organizations we can work with-identify their needs and how to meet those needs with our current products/services/programs, help connect & secure Donor/Partnership Relationships
- Program Development & Evaluation-Help create & implement programs under Core F&B initiatives, Help with program evaluation (surveys, goals, outcomes), Help Secure Vendors/Speakers for Events/Programs/Workshops/Presentations/Seminar, Help create and coordinate a Workshop, Help secure Volunteers for programs/events/workshops/seminars, Help with creating Program curriculum, for example, Environmental curriculum to duplicate and replicate in schools and program, Help create individual program/event/workshop outlines and strategic plans, Help create client, staff, and community appreciation systems
- Help secure Volunteers and Interns
- Core Programs: Education & Career (Leadership Development, Financial Literacy, Economic Development, Tutoring, Entrepreneur Training) Environmental (Earth Clubs, Earth Day, Recycling Events, Community Beautification efforts), Crisis & Mental Health (Mentoring, Advocacy, Sex Trafficking Work, Counseling), Health & Wellness ( Physical, Mental, Spiritual).

The mission of the Foundation is to create a life-long meaningful connection for our community youth and their families by establishing an environmentally conscious, one-stop, networking hub that offers services and support while providing accessible navigation through Los Angeles’ comprehensive children services system.
Description
The Foster & Banks Walk in Faith Foundation is a social service agency created to support, educate, and guide children and families located in Los Angeles County. The primary goal of the Foundation is to address the needs of and provide services and support to "at-risk" children, adolescents and young adults experiencing crisis, and those with developmental or learning disabilities. Programs include tutoring designed to improve skills and capitalize on strengths, music classes to stimulate individuality and creativity, and workshops like self-esteem building to foster the confidence needed for youth to be successful in the community. The Foundation will also offer programs like adult support groups, family game nights, and other events for the families of these children to help create more positive and functional family systems.
