Virtual Tutoring
Help an adult improve his/her literacy skills

Volunteers needed to work in a virtual classroom to boost secondary students' English skills:

Work online with individual students or small groups in Zoom breakout room under a teacher's supervision, and make a difference from the comfort of your home. Easy scheduling, and rewarding connections! Make an impact, volunteer today!

  • FLEXIBLE dates and schedule of Tuesday or Thursday evenings
  • Online Volunteer Orientation available!

Schedule:
Flexible. We seek to match online volunteers with students.
Choose from: Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings
Class is 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT
Minimum 1 hour to maximum of 3 hrs with 15 minute break 7:30-7:45

Frequency:
Minimum: 1-2 hours, per session, once per week

Equipment/Qualifications/Experience:
Solid Internet connection, camera and device that can connect to Zoom
Excellent English speaking and communication skills
Minimum education level: High School Diploma
Basic Tutor Training and Orientation (available online!)
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

The Learning Exchange (TLE)/Centre Lire-Écrire is a volunteer not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing:

* Adult Literacy and Tutoring: One-on-one and small group instruction to adults in need
* Volunteer/Tutor Training
* Public Awareness and Sensitization
* Volunteer/Student Recruitment
* Community Resource and Learning Centre
* Volunteer/Student Outreach and Retention
* Prevention and Intervention
