Help us recover our greatest advantage in the fight against cancer and sign up as a Discovery Shop volunteer!
We are looking for Volunteers, offering flexible hours. Give us a call at 831.443.8879 or come into the shop for more information.
Help needed (all shifts are flexible)
Monday 1:30-5pm
Wednesday 1:30-5pm
Thursday 9:30-1:30/1:30-5
Friday 1:30pm-5pm
Sundays 11:30-3 or 2:30-4:30
Available tasks
Sorters, pricers, steamers, hanging up clothing, displaying, organizing & cashiers.
Face masks and observing social distancing protocols are required while in the shop

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.
Description
Currently there are over 40 Discovery Shops in California, from Eureka to San Diego. They raise millions of dollars to support the American Cancer Society's efforts to combat cancer. There is limited paid staff per shop and the remaining staff is still made up entirely of Volunteers. They are the most dedicated, hardworking and loving human beings and many have been touched by cancer in some personal way. Our 2015 goal is to reduce cancer mortality by 50%, incidence by 25% and improving the quality of life for all cancer patients. We need help with: cashiering, sales, screening, pricing, displays and merchandising, clerical work and bookkeeping and there are many other opportunities available.
